Select vegetation outside the woodlot is being removed along the route of a new street, Sugar Maple Way.
Old roads, powerlines, and telephone poles from the former military base are being removed.
This work is happening now while trees and plants are dormant to protect nesting birds and local wildlife. An ecologist team is surveying the site throughout.
