The Arbo neighbourhood at Downsview is one step closer to a new vibrant community!
Phase 1 of Arbo is now a Registered Subdivision, located at the major intersection of Sheppard Avenue West and Keele Steet, next to Downsview Park. This milestone planning approval enables development and the construction of new homes by creating property lines, residential blocks and public infrastructure (such as the new Sugar Maple Way street and two new local parks).
The three development blocks in Arbo Phase 1 will be home to up to 1,700 units, including 20% of which will be affordable housing. The Company has been working together with the local community since 2019 on the evolving plan at Arbo.
The new neighbourhood will be built with the significant existing natural heritage woodland and a new ecological park at its core, preserving 22 acres of natural environment for public use. Arbo’s vision will provide a vibrant transit-oriented community that offers a mix of housing and recreation at Downsview.
